August Blog Hop - Technique

Hi all

Welcome to our monthly blog hop that I do with some lovely ladies. We are all Stampin' Up demonstrators, but more importantly we are all friends. Great thing craft does is you meet so many like minded people.

Anyway on to our blog hop. This month we are bringing you different techniques. You may have just hopped over from Di Dunks talented home of the web, if you havent and you are starting here, not to worry, keep following the links at the bottom of each page and you will do a complete circle seeing everyone wonderful work and end up back at the start. Feel free to leave a comment at the end of the page to let us know you have come for a visit.

The technique I am showing you today is bleaching, yes household bleach and cardstock.
This is a card I have made using Growing Green(pg 66 of the 2011-2012 catalogue) by embossing the stamped image with gold embossing then using my aqua painter (pg 147) filled with everyday household bleach and painted the inside of the leaves. Once dried ou can see the colour it has become. Below is a before and after of the stamped image. I love this set, if you do too, you need to be quick as it is retiring at the end of this month, so let me know if you want this ordered or anything from the retiring list on the righthand side of the blog before they run out.

Each different colour cardstock gives you a different effect. I have quickly coloured some images from our Elements of Style(pg 94) set to show you the effects on other colours.
Well thats it from me today, dont forget if you want new catalogue or wish to order, feel free to email me or call (03) 8711 4401 (from anywhere is Australia) and I can get this straight to your door.

I cant wait to see what wonderfully talented friend Kathryn Ruddick has to show us, are you coming? Im going to grab a cuppa and enjoy the rest of the blog, I hope you enjoy it as much as I know I will.
