OMG!!! I did it. Thank you to all the lovely ladies over at SUO Challenges
for my first place win. It means more than you know, that now not only
am I giving my mum my hand made card, I am giving her a card that others
loved and awarded. Thanks heaps!!
I have finally decided to enter a challenge at SUO Challenges,
something I havent done in a long time. This challenge was a special
one to me because alot of you know that my best friend in the whole
world...my mum is terminally ill and I know I won't have her for much
longer so I thought it be fitting that the first challenge back be for
my best friend/mum....I Love you Mum...xx
I loved making this card and it was the first time I had used my circle scissors...LOL, well after a few practice shots.
After few comments from some lovely ladies out there I have also entered this in a challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. I also think this card is very fitting for the challenge over at The Paper Players,
as it reminds me all about spring!! As said before I haven't entered
many of these challenges so I don't know many of them. I thank all the
ladies that have helped build my confidence in my cards to be able to
enter such challenges.

Thanks for dropping by, let me and all the ladies know you have popped in by leaving us a message
if you like. See you all soon :-)
Hi
all, I cant believe it has been so long since my last post. I decided
to something had to give for a little bit as to let some very important
things in my life have more time...my family. But I didnt realise it was
2 months ago!!!! I have slowly been getting my craft bug back after
life grabbed me with to hands and wouldn't let go. I managed to break
free just for a bit LOL!!! I have been making cards and even doing some
scrapping here and there. I will take some photos in the next few days
to show you what I have been up to.
We
also have our friendly Blog Hop coming up on Saturday as it is close to
Easter it is a small one but the girls always manage to blow me away
with their talent, so don't forget to pop back then.
I
will also take some photos on friday and pop them up of some retired
stamp sets that I am selling well below the RRP , some are used some are
not. First in first served basis as always. Most postage is around
$6.95 as I use the prepayed packages.
I
am looking in the later part of the year to start up my very first
classes and looking at cards and/or scrapbooking let me know your
interests so I can look at putting it together to suit.
Look forward to you coming back on Saturday to see our wonderful creations from our new Autumn/Winter mini Catalogue.
If you wish to obtain your own copy of either our main Ideas and catalogue book or the mini, or even host a workshop contact me and I can tell you how to go about it all with no fuss.
Hi everyone, welcome to another blog hop. If you have been here before...Welcome back :-)
If
you haven't then let me let you about us and our hop. We are a group of
Stampin' Up! demonstrators and more importantly friends, who put
together a little blog hop to show you either a theme or some designs
with new products. This hop is all about our Sale-a-bration FREE sets.
You can get these sets for free up until the end of March so if you wish
to know how to get them FREE for yourself contact me and I can help you from anywhere in australia, (email is good that way).
Anyway on to our hop. You may have just hopped over from the gorgeous Kathryn's
site if not, don't worry you can start here and the hop will take you
in a complete circle back to where you started, so you won't miss a
thing.
I
have made two cards to show you today showing two of the four free sets
in two completely different colour schemes. The first one I have used
Punch Bunch, this is a great set as it matches up beautifully with alot
of our wonderful punches, taking out all that hard work of cutting
things out, and who doesn't love punches, I love them!! Imagine having
stamped images with perfect cut edges all the time, thats why I love
them so...
I
have used Crumb Cake cardstock as the base, then Marina Mist and Cajun
Craze, I have also used the scallop circle punch and the 1 1/4 inch
cirlce punch for the stamped image, I have also punched out the middle
one and put the image on the inside of the card to give it a little
effect. The Lattice embossing folder was used on both card for the
background to give them a bit of depth.
For the finishing touch is some 3/8 inch Marina Mist taffeta ribbon with a double bow in the middle.
The
second one I have used the Sweet Summer set. This card is a bit
brighter as the background colour is Whisper White and the accent colour
is one of our in colours Concord Crush. I have stamped the flower stem
in Wild Wasabi and the top in Concord Crush, the stamped another flower
top on a different piece of paper then cut out just the middle part and
used a 3D dots to raise it up on the card to give the flower dimention.
I have also done the same to the little bee. A little more ribbon, this
time it is 1/2 inch stitched-poly ribbon to match the concord crush
with some Rhinestone brads to give it a little bling.
I
hope you liked my little cards today and I hope you really enjoy the
the blog hop. This may be the end of you journey but if not you are
heading off to the talented Ros Davidson,
I know you will love her work as much as I do. Thanks for stopping by
and don't forget if I can help you with any of your stamping needs shoot
me an email. I am sure we can work out whatever it is you need.
Sale-a-bration

Hi there one and all, I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and New year, and managed to relax somewhere in between :-)
I
am back with some wonderful friends from Stampin Up' to bring you a
blog hope using items from our Summer mini. You may have just jetted in
from Christine Blain 's
little paradise, isnt it wonderful over there? You will see many lovely
homes on the net through this hop and it doesnt matter where you start
because you will eventually do a complete circle of all the marvelous
creative places. Don't forget to leave the ladies a comment to let them
know you have payed them a visit.
Off to my little project...........
I
was a little stumped with this hop on what to do as I didnt want to do a
card or a scrap page and I have done enough boxes, I wanted something
different so I thought what's better at the start of the year than a
calander. I have done a little perpetual calander with all my lovely
friends birthdays from Stampin Up'
I will now never miss one of my fellow Stampin Up' friends birthdays with this Hanging on my wall in my craft room.
Lots
of things are going happening on the front, like when we sit down to
stamp or scrap....my area is never tidy when I am crafting is yours? So
the front represents things we do, like emblish with ribbon and brads, I
have used a range of the 1/8" ribbon out of the main catalogue and rub
ons as well. The computer and printer have also been put to great use.
From the Summer mini I have used the Following:
Square lattice embossing folder
Love Defined Stamp set
Vintage Trinkets
Gold Glow Smooch Spritz
Blessed Mother Stamp set (below picture)
I
have put names on the dates and on the reverse side I have put their
names and addresses so I can send a little card. I have used blessed
mother stamp set here as May is my special month, as my mum's birthday
is in May.
The bunch of flowers is a stamp from Love defined which I have stamped and cut out single stems.
I
hope you have enjoyed you stay here but I know I can't keep you
forever. If you haven't been to Ros Davidson's site yet you are in for a
treat. Go and have some fun, you will love it. You can get there from
clicking here. Farewell until next time you pop in.
Hi Everyone. It has been a very long time between posts, and today has sparked me to keep going.
A
group of friends have decided to get together and do a fun blog hop all
themed around my favourite time of the year....Christmas!!!! I am as

on the linked name at the end of the posts. You will get the chance to
see all 11 lovely homes on the web no mater where you start.

Materials:

Ribbon.
I used this as a little lolly bag, but the ideas are endless!!!
Materials:
Big Shot, Pillow Box Punch, Extra Large Ornament Punch, Two Step Bird
Punch, Tiny Tags Stamp Set, Jewelry Tag Punch, Cherry Cobbler and Wild
Wasabi - CS and Ink, Sticky Strip, Acetate and Dazzling Diamonds.

**** Gold looks EXCELLENT in this. ****
Materials:
RichRazzleberry CS and Ink, Bashful Blue CS, Whicper White CS, Welcome

I hope you have enjoyed my little creations, let me know what you think
by leaving a comment if you like, I would love to hear from you, but I
must share you all with everyone else also, so off to the wonderful

don't be strangers come back every now and then to say hi, and if there
is anything I can help you with you can contact me any time you wish. :-)
Hello
Everyone, and Welcome to our Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin' Up!
Demonstrators who are also good friends and have got together to show
you our creations using items from the new 2010 - 2011 Stampin' Up! Idea
Book andCatalogue.
A
lot of people have been longing for this book to come out since we had
our old one for 18months instead of the usual 12 months so we could line
with the United States, and now it is here we have done a lovely fun
blog hope you to make your way through to get some great ideas and some
fantastic inspiration.
You may have just come from my good friend Kristine's home
on the web, and wasnt it a great creation!!! Not to worry if you havent
seen it yet as our blog hop makes a complete circle and you will end up
right back at the place you began so you will have the chance to see
everyones creations along the way. Please leave a message to let us know
you have been and it you like our projects. Its great to hear what
people think.
Anyway on to my little creation, and it is a creation for our own little creations.
I have made a little gift box and card for a new baby.
I have made it in pink for a girl but as you can see, it could be very easily changed to suit a boy.
The
box is a chinese take away type and is made from Regal Rose 12 x 12
paper, the jumbo roller "Baby Tees" which I rolled and cut out
individual jump suits, the captions is from level three hostess stamp
set "Occasional Quotes", I must admit I love this set and have already
used it quite a bit. I have also used the new In Colour Markers to
colour the Tees and the new Scallop Trim Boarder punch.
After
folding it together, some added touches like the new "In colour"
stitched- poly ribbon and a handle and bow on top, some brads on the
side and it was finished. Then to make the card.
You
can never get enough pink for a new little girl so it stayed the theme
for the card aswell. Rose red and Regal Rose cardstock, Tag Alongs stamp
set, Scallop Trim boarder punch, Crystal Effects and the Big Shot
letters were used to make the card in minutes.
I
hope you have enjoyed my little creations but I cant keep you all to
myself. If you see anything you like and want to know more Contact Me and I can tell you how to make many more gifts, cards and other things, but now its off to the talented Judy May's
to see what wonderful things she has done. I know you will love it
there. Please let me know you have stopped by by leaving me a message, I
would love to hear from you. Take care and enjoy your trip around our
blog hop.
Yes

catalogues for 12 Months, but the last one we had for 17 months so we
could come into line with the American market, so as you can tell we are
all a little excited. This catalogue also has our new yummy colours in
it. If you have the old sets like myself, don't worry as there are new
packs out so you can just update the ones you already have....no need to
go get the whole lot all over again.

Well tthe
end has come for the fundraiser for Hudson and I would like to thank
everyone who has contributed to help such a wonderful little boy. Hudson
can now ge his wonderful wheels to help him get around, but please go to Helping Hudson and see how much was raised. The statistics of what was downloaded and challenges entered is great too.
I would also like to say to all the girls that made Helping Hudson work, a huge WELL DONE!!!
Genna, Jo, Nikki, Christine, Gardenia, Sue and of course Hudson's mum
Tina, and all the girls in the background, You all need a big pat on the
back and a huge glass of Champagne. Now Hudson's (and his family) life
has been made just that little bit easier. Also a big THANK YOU
to everyone out there that bought the tutorials and entered the
challenges and the people who made some wonderful donations no matter
how big or small. If it wasnt for all of you it wouldnt have been so
successful.
I also think a big THANKS
needs to go to Jo's Hubby Simon. Simon was the brains behind all the
graphics for Helping Hudson. They were great and made it so
professional. You are a Star!!!
Here is my last challenge for Helping Hudson and only with 30 mins to spare. Phew...
I
came home from a card night 20 mins ago and was determined to get this
last one done. I love cards that look clean and simple, even though it
takes time to make them look that way. I embossed the bird in balck with
dazzling diamonds then water coloured the blue and green in the image.
the very vanilla has been sponged to soften the look and the so saffron
has been sponged with old olive to look the the card fom underneath is
coming through.
Well Helping Hudson seems
to have been very successful and if you have been following there or
here, I am happy to say that Hudson will be getting his Kid Walker!!!
This is the happiest news I have heard for a long time. Anyway with much
further ado...here is one of my last entries into the competitions at
the Helping Hudson site. I have not had a huge amount of time this week
due to my mother also needing help and support but Hudson also needs our
support so here is my card. I hope to be home in time to do that last
one before it closes tonight.
I
think the saying in this is perfect for Helping Hudson because by
giving we have made "life" a whole lot easier and more fun for Hudson.
If
the stamp sets don't look familiar thats because they won't...They are
your little sneek peek into the new catalogue, which I now have ready
for you all to grab a copy if you wish to contact me.
I
have done two challenges in one card as of my time constraints. I have
entered the colour challenge which was to use one colour (main different
shades could be used) and one neutral. As you can see I have used green
and white, even the card stock under the dazzling diamonds is green.
The
other challenge I have entered with the same card is the sketch, I hope
you have enjoyed you stay here as much as I have been doing the
challenges to help Hudson.
I
would also like to say a HUGE WELL DONE to all the ladies at Helping
Hudson. You have done a wonderful job for a gorgeous little boy. Your
efforts in this have been truely Amazing!!!!
Hello again thanks for dropping in, and welcome to another blog hop with the Art with Heart team run wonderfully by Claire Daly. You may have just come from the wonderful web of Di Dunk,
but not to fear if you haven't as the hop does a complete circle and
you will see every site no matter where you start. There is a chance to
win some great blog candy too. Just go to all the 9 pages on this hop
look at what they have made and leave a comment with your name. If you
have done this withing 72hrs (Tuesday 10th August 6am), send an email to
Nikki Sadler giving your name and that you have left a message on EVERY site. your name will go into the draw to win.
This months blog hop is all about the men in our lives, and it kept me
thinking for some time on what to do, father, husband, son, etc etc? So I
have sort of done them all in a way. I have decided to do a scrap
booking page about my husband, Trevor. Well he is a father, husband,
son, friend and alot more. He has shown me that no matter what happens,
life goes own. He is my soul mate. I love him for just being him.
I made a quick glitter star by putting some snail adhesive on the old
olive CS, put it under the punched large star, put the small star in the
middle then scattering Dazzling Diamonds over the remaining snail
adhesive.
I enjoyed putting this page together as it made me remember all the
things we have been through. Some great and some not, but whether we
like them all or not, it makes us the people we are today.
In this page I have used:
Cardstock/DSP: Cottage Wall DSP, Old Olive, Bravo Burgandy, Very Vanilla, Whisper White CS
Stampsets: Wonderful Favourites, Sprinkles
Inks:Bravo Burgandy, Old Olive
Accessories: Punches:
Lrg Star, Sml Star, Spiral, Word Window. Snail Adhesive, Dazzling
DiamondsTimeless Type Junior Alphabet for the Bigshot, Scissors.
Anyway thanks for dropping in and looking at my page, if there is anything I can help you with please don't hesistate to contact me, but now I must let you go off to see the talented works of Sue Madex,
another very lovely and successful woman in the Art with Heart Team.
Before you run away please jot down a very important website and a
worthwhile cause to alot of people. Helping Hudson at www.helpinghudson.blogspot.com.
If you love making cards please go buy a set of tutorials at the site
and 100% of the money goes to helping Hudson. Go and read his parents
very moving story. Husdon mother is a member of our Art with Heart team.
Hope to see you back soon. Enjoy the Hop, I know I will :-)
The last Challenge for the week at Helping Hudsons is a sketch, which is below.
I wasn't sure what to do but with a little playing around I have come up with the following:
It
is one of my rare cards that I can say I was proud of. I actually love
the way it turned out, especially the embossed butterflys.
I
have black embossed the butterflys then used the aqua painter to blend
the colour. The words have been white embossed. I distressed the Pumpkin
Pie card stock, put So Saffron, then Whisper White which was stamped
with sprinkles and daubered around the edges. The colours reminded me of
the dark skye, a sun set and butterflys over the grass.
Thanks for taking the time to come and look.
Here is another Challenge for Helping Hudson. This one is the colour challenge, which was Pretty in Pink, Rose Red and Not Quite Navy.
If
you didnt have every colour you could substitute, which I have here as I
don't have Not Quite Navy, so I have used Night of Navy instead.
This is my card for the Rock n' Roll Challenge on the Helping Hudson Website
It
is a Rolling card with the flower being able to roll to the other side
in the space provided. I have used Old Olive, Rose Red, So Saffron and
Whisper White Cardstock. The Rock n' Roll Technique has been done with
So Saffron and Rose Red.
I have used the Vintage Vogue and Sincere Salutation Stamp Sets for this card anlong with dimentionals and snail adhesive.
Hi
again, two posts in a week, now I'm stepping it up a bit. Just to let
you know that the new Catalogue is just around he corner (Sept 1), and
what a magnificent new catalogue it is. I was so excited looking at all
the new things we get in September, so please if you want to get one
when they come out please contact me as I will order in extra for these orders.
We
have had our current catalogue for quite some time, so as you would
guess a lot of the stamps and accessories will be retiring, more so this
catalogue because of the colour renovation.
Below
is the last chance list. What is a last chance list you say? Well it is
you LAST CHANCE to get anything on the list. As from the end of this
month - 31 August they will be retired and you and I will no longer be
able to purchase them. So if there is a stamp set or something else on
there that you love and thought you would hold off, now is the time to
get it before they are gone or out of stock.
Also Please don't forget to pop over to the
Helping Hudson Blog and help raise miney and have fun at the same time.
Want
to get some great tutorials, be in the running for some great prizes
and help a little boy and his family at the same time? HUdson Gillespie
is a little boy in South Australia who needs our help. The Kid Walker
that he needs to make him mobile is $5000 and this is very hard for
anyone to save for but with only one income coming into a home, raising
that much money seems impossible. This is where we all come into the
picture. There are some wonderful tutorials in 6 different packages you
can buy from the helping hudson website for $10 a package (thats only $1
per tutorial!!) Also if you buy 4 packages and email the person in
charge you get an extra 10 tutorials for free!!!! You can't get better
than that. All these tutorials were donated to help raise funds for
Hudson Kid Walker. There are also competitions you can enter and win
some fantastic prizes. Stampin' Up! have helped us out by donating over
$1000 worth of goods for our prizes. Please click on the link and go
read Hudsons story and go look at the tutorials for sale, I can tell you
now, you will not be disappointed. Let everyone you know who loves
paper craft know about it. Lets see if we can make a difference.
There
is something Fantastic just around the corner, starting tomorrow
actually. Come back here for your chance to get some great tutorials and
help a very worthwhile cause by just doing what we all love, you may
even get a chance for some great give aways. Stay Tuned here tomorrow
for GREATNESS!!!
I cant believe we are half way through July already so I thought I better pop up the sale that ends at the end.
Stampin'
Up!'s Two-Step Stampin' sets allow you to quickly and easily take your
creativity to the next level. And until 31 July, you'll get 20% off

Hi again all. Its time for another fantastic blog hop from the Art with Heart team run by Claire Daly.
This month we are having a Christmas in July theme, nothing better than
a good festive season and we have nearly had the white "Christmas" here
in Melbourne with the wintery cold weather we have been having lately.
You may have just come from Judy May's lovely home on the web, if not thats fine you will make your way around the hop from here.
If
you have done these blog hops before you know how they work and a very
warm welcome back. If you are new to the blog hop...Welcome and we hope
you get addicted enough to come back again as they are run at the start
of every month. So lets get onto the rules.
The
blog hop does a complete circle, so you will eventually make your way
back to where you have started. Go to each blog on the hop have a look
at what is being shown, make sure you have left a comment on "EVERY"
blog involved. Once you have done this, email Nikki Sadler
giving her your name and a short message to say you have commented on
all the sites. If you do this all within a 72 hour period you go into
the draw to win the blog candy for the month.
So
here is my piece for the Christmas in July Hop. Everyone loves getting
presents and why not have a box as good as the present. My piece this
month is a gift box with a suprise of its own.
Everything on this box has been made with 12x12 paper or card stock, yes including the bow on top.
If
you have a few small things to give someone on christmas this is a
great type of box to use as usually the box gets a WOW as well as the
present.
So
as you can see the Simply Scrappin' Kits can be used for a whole lot
more than just scrap booking pages. I also used my "I Wish for Peace"
stamp set for the first time on this with my markers, a little heat and
stick powder and my dazzling diamonds.
Anyway,
I won't keep you here forever as there are so many talented women in
this blog hop that you need to go see, like the extremely talented Ros Davidson
who is next on the hop. If you started at Ros then this is the end of
your journey but if you may have lost your way long the trip, below is
the complete list of ladies in the blog hop. I hope you have enjoyed
your stay here and hope you pop back again very soon.
I
thought I should post some of the things I have been making as I dont
often take photos of them before I give them away. Being a demonstrator
doesn't just mean you can buy and sell Stampin' Up! it also gives you a
huge network of people who have the same thing in common with you to
connect with. There are challenges you can do and competitions you can
enter and heaps of sites to get inspiration from.
The
first few cards and pages are from these challenges, they are fun to do
and its good to see what other people do with the same ideas.
This card used the big shot, the new bird punch and two techniques 1. embossing and 2. brayering
This card was from a sketch challenge. It was amazing to see all the different cards made for this one.
This
card was made for a colour challenge. I loved making this one and I
hope my nephew does too as it is for his birthday. Fox and Friends stamp
set is just so cute.
This was a scrapbooking challenge I entered. I always love to find another reason to scrap.
So
as you can see I do make alot more than I put up here, I just have to
learn to take pitcures of them before they go :-) Over the next few days
I will put up some other ones I have made as well.
DON'T FORGET!! Today is the last day for the deals of the week so if you want anything from the last sale please contact me today as it ends tonight at 10pm
These
sales of the week have been really great but unfortuntely they have to
come to an end. Today I give you the last deal of the week. Look them up
in you book or contact me if you want to know more or put an order in.

Hi and Welcome to another Blog Hop for you all to enjoy from the Art with Heart Team lead my Claire Daly. You may have just come from Nikki Sadler's
little home on the web, but if this is you first stop, don't worry as
the blog hop does a complete circle from where ever you start.
Our
Blog Hop will be running on the first Saturday of every month so please
come back and join in the fun and be in the running to win some lovely
Blog Candy to use at home on your own projects.
The
rules are simple and if done properly your name will go into a drawn
for the prize, so take a second to two to read them and then grab a
cuppa and enjoy our blog.
1. Visit every blog on the hop and leave a comment under the hop section with your name.
2. Enjoy all the fantastic work the ladies have to show you.
3. Email Nikki Sadler, telling her your name and that you have completed the blog hop correctly.
There is a deadline of 72 hours to leave your comments and only non SU demos are eligible to win - although we'd love all visitors to leave some comments please. The deadline for leaving comments is the 8th June 2010 at 6am
If your name appears on all sites and you have emailed Nikki, you will be in the running for that great prize.
Lets get on with the Blog Hop.
Our
Blog Hop this month is all about celebration, whether it be a birth, a
wedding, a birthday, a graduation, the list can go on and on. There are a
lot of things in our lives that we can celebrate and with busy lives
that we all have sometimes we forget about the small things like the
first A at school or a job promotion. What have you celebrated lately?
Today I have made a card and a matching little gift box using our new big shot and the pillow box die cut.
I have fallen in love with this machine as it has become so versatile
in my life. from cards to whipping up a quick personalized gift box.
Imagine your friends face when they see the matching card to the box and
finding out you made it all. It makes you feel so good.
I
have made the box out of accetate and stamped on the front using Staz
On Opaque, once dried I dabbed some Melon Mambo ink over the top and
wiped off the excess. The cardstock in the back with the stamped image
comes from the level 2 hostess stamp set, it just gives the butterfly
(which is in the Autumn-winter mini Catalogue) a little bit of a
dementional look.
The
matching card has Rich Razzleberry card stock as the background a the
butterfly on the card has been clear embossed with a little Dazzling
Diamond Glitter added to the embossing powder to give it a little
"Bling".
I
hope you have enjoyed your little stop here at Rather B Stampin and if
you would like to know anything about any of my project please contact me and I would be happy to let you know how get get your hands on them.
I have to let you go on your journey now and you will not be disappointed as you are off to the talented Di Dunk's creative home on the web.
If
you have lost you way on the Hop, don't worry I have included all the
pages below. Enjoy your time on our Blog Hop and hope you return soon.

Today my final page has gone up at Stampamemory.
I would have to say it is my favourite page. It was fun to play around
with the photo a little and even 3D parts of the picture itself. They
say sometimes less is more, and I would say it is true with this page.
My son is sitting on a ledge near the beach in San Franscico in Feb this
year and he just looked so peaceful that I took a quick picture. I
loved the picture so much I couldn't not scrap it.
Here is a little sneak peak.
If you click here
it will take you through to see the whole page. I would also love to
thank the lovely Ladies at Stampamemory for giving me the honour of
being this months guest designer. It has been wonderful and I probably
wouldn't have scrapped my pictures for a long time if I had not needed
them for this, so a huge THANK YOU!!!! You have made me feel that my
work has been worthwhile, I enjoyed every bit of making them too.
As you will know from my previous post I am the guest designer on Stamp A Memory
and it has been a great honour and experience all in one. They have my
second of three pages up today and this page has a little fun in it. We
had had promised our children a trip overseas when all was settled about
a nasty accident my husband had. After 5 years of helping look after
their dad and missing out on a lot of things, we managed to take them to
America and a thanks for "everything trip". This page reflect a very
small part of our trip yet a very memorable part. Click on the little
teaser of my page below and it will take you to Stamp A Memory to see
the whole page.
I
hope you enjoy this page. I had a ball making it thinking of all those
memories, and this is why I love scrap booking so much, because you get
to reflect on all them while making your lovely pages and you tend to
look at the pictures more than in just a plain photo album, and how many
times have you gone back through those 1000's of photo's on the PC,
these are forever in such a special way. I will cherish this page for a
very long time.
Thanks for taking the time to come and look at my pages.
If you love Stamping and Scrap booking, then I have just the place for you.
The
very talented Ladies have chosen me to be May's Guest Designer. I madly
got some pages ready and submitted them, not thinking they were
anywhere near as good as the ladies there, but I got a lovely email
saying they were great...that was the biggest trip my ego has ever
taken. I was so happy that they liked them and yet I am still nervous of
them being put up for everyone to see. This will be my first time ever
that my pages have been anywhere except my album. I have been scrap
booking for about 2 years on and off but never entered any of my pages
into competitions or publications. Thanks to a good friend who has been
pushing me to enter something, I have finally done it..Thanks Kris
Anyway
I have a little sneak peek of my first page below. There will be 3
pages over the month, so come back and have a look during the month to
see what else I have done. If you click on the image and it will take
you over to Stamp A Memory to
view the full page. While you are there, check out all the ladies
wonderful talent. Thank you Ladies for the honour of being named as a
guest designer on your site.
Here is my first sneak peek.
Click
on the above image to see the completed page over at stamp a memory.
Come back during the month to find the next few page sneak peeks. See if
you can guest what I've done before looking at the whole page. I
have used a few techniques along the way which I love. If there is
anything at all you want to know how to do from the pages, please dont
hesitate to email me. I have had a blast doing these pages :-)
Hi All, and Welcome to another blog hop with the Art with Heart Team lead by the talented Claire Daly. This blog
hop was inspired by Mother's Day being close, and so we have our
wonderful theme this time of women in our lives. It has been great to
think about, as there has been many wonderful women (including our
mothers) in our lives and its been great to reflect on that.
We have many great women in our Team at Art with Heart and they are
the best business support team as well. I never thought I could have
fun with my hobby and find a whole new world out there to help me with
it. Email me if you want to know more about this great world and I would be happy to invite you into my crafting world.
Anyway off to the hop....You may have just hopped over from Kathryn Mangelsdorf's
Blog, but if this is your first stop thats fine, as the blog hop does a
complete circle. There is also some "Blog Candy" to be in the running
for at the end. All you have to do it go to every one of the 14
wonderful Blogs involved, have a look at their creation on "women in our
lives" and leave a comment. Once you have left a comment on every page
send Nikki Sadler an email saying so, and your name will be put into the draw for a lovely prize.
There is a deadline of 72 hours to leave your comments and only non SU demos are eligible to win - although we'd love all visitors to leave some comments please. The deadline for leaving comments is the 3rd May 2010 at 6am
Anyway on with the show.
My
very first paper passion was scrap booking, so I thought why not
reflect on a wonderful woman in my life and put my thoughts on paper. I
haven't Scrapped properly for a very long time and have only in the last
week or so really been enjoying it all over again.
My
creation in this blog hop shows my scrap page of my Mother-In-Law and
my Daughter. A wonderful woman we lost too early, and my daughter who
will be a significant woman in my life in the years to come. They were
the only photo's we have of them together so it was an honor to use them
on this blog.
I
used Cottage Wall DSP, Cottage Garden Stamp Set, Rich Razzleberry
Ink,Extra large two step bird punch , (All available in our new
Autumn-winter mini Catalogue), Kiwi Kiss Card Stock and ink. It have
been a pleasure sharing my page with you but I must let you go off to Nicole Rouillon's Blog to see what wonderful delights she has made to share with us
With a little bit of pushing from some great friends, I have decided to enter a scrap booking challenge over at Stampamemory and
what a first one to enter. Not only is it a creative challenge but a
challenge I no doubt think a lot of women would find difficult. 5 Things
About Myself. I never really think about what I like about myself, so
while actually trying to find a photo of Me, (yes I am the one behind
the camera most times..isn't every women?) I had to think about what
qualities I like about myself. The first one was easy: I am a Mum to two
great children, this followed onto my second. I love being a wife to my
wonderful husband. I am creative in everything I do, whether it be
craft like scrapping or cards, to my house and garden and I have fun
doing it. I am compassionate and loving to all and a very Loyal Friend. I
love all those qualities so why not share them with you.
I
have used a background paper from my stock, sorry not sure where it is
from to give the royalties. The other cards stock I have used is
Stampin' Up Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Certainly Celery. I printed my
title on my card stock using my printer. A mixture of stamp sets also
from Stampin' Up were used, these include: Priceless, Vintage Vogue and
Asian Artistry. A bit of water colouring of the flowers and sponging
around the hearts gave it the little touches it needed. The last touch
was a brad holding the folded paper over in the top corner.I have enjoyed the challenge that was put in front of us and thank you for making us think of ourselves for once.
So pop over to Stampamemory and have a look at all the lovely pager entered, they are all priceless treasures
Well
the new mini has been out for nearly a month, and it has been a
fantastic mini, I'm sure I have nearly bought the whole thing. It has
been really fun playing with all the new stamps and die cuts, and the
new colours are gorgeous.I have been playing around with the bigshot, and must admit it didnt take too much to convince how good and easy it is to use.
With this card I used:
Chocolate Chip and Whisper White Card stock
Top Note Big Shot Die Cut
Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder
Brayer, Spritzer
Asian Artistry Stamp Set (Level 2 Free Hostess set)
Inks: Old Olive, Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Night of Navy.
This was also my very first time at using the Brayering Technique and I love it. The stamp set is so gorgeous that I had to get it and how easy is it if you have workshop with crafting friends to get it free and have fun making wonderful handmade cards at the same time.
The next card is using Vintage Vogue Stamp set out of the new mini catalogue with Chocolate Chip, So Saffron and Whisper White card stock with a little embellishment ofSo Saffron Ribbon.
These are cards that I usually say "oh they make that look easy" when I see them on other sites..but I can tell you they are easy to make in no time at all.If you would like to know how easy they really are, and get that "wow" from your friends and family when you give them a card you can say you made yourself, feel free to contact me anytime to book a work shop and we can get started straightaway..you don't know how fun it is until you try!!!
They say a change is as good as a holiday..well it looks like we are all in for a wonderful trip :-)
Stampin' Up! has announced the introduction of a new colour scheme
which will happen when our new Idea Book and Catalogue comes out. So not
only will we have some wonderful new stamp sets to drool over, but some
nice new colours to go with them.Yes this does mean that we will be
farewelling some of the colours that we currently have, but not to worry
Stampin' Up! has not let us down the new scheme is lovely as you will
see.
Below
is the colours we are saying farewell to. With any big change there is
always some sorrow and there will be colours that you will be sad to see
go, but I am sure you will be happy with the new colours, and the new
In colours will no doubt be worth the wait. Stampin' Up! has not done
this in a hurry it has been two years in the pipeline with alot of help
for leader, demonstrators and customers alike.
So
I cant wait till our new Catalogue comes out in September to see all
the wonderful new products we get to play with. If our new mini
catalogue that is out now is any indication on what we are in for..then I
wish September was yesterday
Hi all, Welcome to my first ever blog, and why not be with something I love...Stampin'.
My
name is Alisha. I live in Melbourne and have recently become a Stampin'
Up Demonstrator. I have loved doing crafty things my whole life but in
the last few years I came across my two passions in the crafting
world..Scrapbooking and Stamping.
I
had been to many parties and bought soooooo much stuff that I had to
kick the hubby out of the "computer room" and make it into my own craft
room...luckly for him he had is work office and now combines both.
Not
too long ago a very good friend of mine became a Stampin' Up
Demonstrator, so my fate was sealed....I was not going to get away for
the stampin world now (not that it worried me..just worried my bank
account).
After
many orders, my friend Kristine convinced me in about 30secs to become a
stampin demonstrator myself..you could tell she had to twist my arm
tight as my addiction didnt seem enough on its own HAHA.
So here I am Wife, Mother, Nurse and Stampin' Up Demonstrator at your service!!!
With time I hope I can make you all in the addicts that I am :-)
There is a stamp I own which has a saying that explains me......
It started out
with just one stamp
which led to two~
then three!
Now I'm a Stamp-a-holic
and don't want
Recovery!!
